Code of conduct and policies

The code of conduct is a governing document that defines how we, business partners and suppliers should act – the code should be a guiding document. It is also supplemented with several different policies.

Rugvista has two different codes of conduct, one for employees and partners – and one that is aimed specifically at our suppliers. Employees and partners are expected to sign and follow the code of conduct. Both documents are prepared in accordance to international standards defined below.

Code of conduct for suppliers

The code of conduct for suppliers is included in all supplier agreements, and by the end of 2020, 100% of our suppliers signed the supplier code.

Rugvista is a member of the amfori Business Social Compliance Initiative (BSCI), which is an independent organization that reviews and designs industry regulations on work environment and human rights.

By using their common code of conduct – amfori BSCI Code of Conduct – we want to ensure that our suppliers offer a safe working environment with respect for labor law and human rights.

The amfori BSCI Code of Conduct refers to international conventions, such as the Declaration of Human Rights, the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business, the OECD Guidelines, the UN Global Treaties and the International Labor Organization (ILO) conventions and other recommendations for improving working conditions in the supply chain.
