Sustainability goals & ambitions
Rugvista participates in the UN Global Compact and works in line with its ten principles on human rights, labour, the environment and anti-corruption.
The UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) guide our sustainability strategy. Based on our double materiality assessment, we prioritise the goals most relevant to our business and where we can make a meaningful, measurable contribution.
We focus on four goals:
Goal 8: Decent work and economic growth
Goal 12: Responsible consumption and production
Goal 13: Climate action
Goal 16: Peace and Justice Strong Institutions
We have set ambitious goals for a sustainable future and continue to challenge ourselves as we develop our goals.
These are our key goals for 2030:
Planet
- Increase the share of circular products to 70%, measured by purchased weight
- Reduce CO₂e emissions per m² of purchased rugs by 30% compared with the 2025 baseline
- Ensure that 80% of the materials in our own and our suppliers’ packaging are recycled or sustainably sourced
People
- Conduct risk-based due diligence covering 100% of prioritised suppliers, sub-suppliers and materials
- Maintain an Employee Engagement Index (EEI) of at least 83
Business
- Map 100% of Tier 2 subcontractors
